Wednesday was payday... yay. Well, not so much in pips as in my regular job. And when I receive the check I know why I want another income. Still, running away isn't as good a motivator as running towards something.
Well, I got 35 pips in a quick trade. Some announcement was made at the necessary time, and the trade was boosted.
I reported a loss the other day. What I did miss was the 'counter-signal', giving me a trade in the other direction. That trade would easily have been a winner with more than what I lost.
The first loss for the year. A small one, but still a loss. Looked like it was going in the right direction a while, but then decided to follow the trend. Betting that the trend should change seems always harder than betting on the trend to continue.
Today was a very good day, even though it was just 23 pips. Why was that good? Well, mostly because it was done in 15 minutes. Of course, I like trading so I don't mind extended periods of times of trading, but I like it when it jumps up to a win very quickly. Could have stayed in and made at least another 30 pips or so, but that would have meant waiting for an hour or two, and I didn't feel like it.
It seems like the market I trade trends about 50% of the time. Now, this is normally not a bad thing. I just wish I could predict the trend - when it starts, and when it is about to end. Well, the brilliant Nick is working on this, and we'll see what he comes up with.
No trends in any direction. No trades for me. Of course, there could have been trades, by reading the candlesticks and watching the S&R's, but that is not how I roll. At least not yet.
