You can now see the System 3 trial to the right... and I can post on... if I find something good to say, that is.

Definetly not a trading post

Today I got to shake hands with my childhood hero, Marc Singer
A genuinely nice guy.

Now, back to trading!

Red evening

Lots of red news tonight. One of those nights to stay out.
(Red is a red newsflash on Forex Factory.)

But it would have been a huge winning trade this evening, had one entered.

Feels like the volumes and directions are back to normal. Gotta like that.

Traffic origins...

The top three senders of visitors to my blog is; Filmhill, Progolom (?) and of course FTS.

I have no idea what Progolom is... Anyone related to Film Hill?

Well, in case you were curious.

It is still slow days...

... so the best we can do today is to remember that HP Lovecraft would have turned 122 today, had he lived, sit down with one of his books, Metallica in the CD player and perhaps a whiskey.

No trades

There were no trades today. Well, there actually were three signals to trade by. Two winners and one loser, but the market was so slow, it wasn't worth the risk of entering any trades. At least, I didn't.

(And neither did Cherkhan, so I guess he is getting his itchy trigger finger under control.) ;)

And to celebrate the day... another Elvis! With a suitable title!

16 aug 1977...

... was the day that God decided he needed some Rock n' Roll in heaven.
That's 35 years ago to the day.

Oh, and it is summertime. Didn't have any trades on TWADJ yesterday, and there has been no TrendFX trades for me today either.
Looking forward to the evening.

Slow

As you may or may not know, it is vacation time in the US now. The S&P500 market will be quiet for a week or two.
A good time to practice divergences and candles. :)
But not trading.

Friday rush

I wasn't around to take it, but those who did got their money's worth.

Some reasoning on how I handle contradictory signals.

TWADJ today

Today I didn't find any optimal signals. There were a few relatively good ones, but I've found that I'm getting more and more picky. I'm not sure why... Could it be the dryspell the last two weeks has made me cautious?  Am I hesitating a bit much?
Maybe...
Also, Aqua, my dog, had a wounded paw today, so my focus was less than good. We'll see what the vet says tomorrow.

But there were pips to be had this evening. At least 20. 60+ for the cool kids.

Ah, well, tomorrow is another day.

And here is Aqua, in case you wanted to see her.
She turns 9 on the 30th of July.

So slow...

Some days there are no trades.
This was one of them. A boring day. And as someone said in chat "Jesus had more fun on the cross..."

One of my childhood's heroes passed away today. RIP Jon Lord.

And to honour his memory:

Quiet

I din't do any trades this week. At least not after 4th of July.
It's been irregular.

Hoping for some nice trades next week.

Have a nice weekend.

Sometimes...

... the best trades are the ones you don't make.

There wasn't much action today. I guess it goes hand in hand with it not being many news today and therefor not much trending.

Ah, well... another day tomorrow.

Banks are closed

Presidents Day

Another holiday over on the other side of the pond.
There was no action in the evening.

Quiet friday

Not much happened in terms of trading (on S&P500) this friday evening.

After a week of being thrown between hope and despair for Greece, the chinese, the US and the general Euro-zone, I guess the end of the week could have looked a lot worse.

A bit of slightly hopeful reading: http://www.marketwatch.com/story/uncertainty-not-the-economys-problem-white-house-2012-02-17

Wow!

Amazing. Over 320 people have now read the soccer criteria. (This is a very unknown blog.)
I wish you luck with it and adds that it has worked for me for over a year.
The only problem is liquidity at times, but that is perhaps one of the main reasons some are going Forex.

I also find it easier to win at Forex than on soccer, so I've moved on. If you have time, have a look. You might like it.

Soccer criteria

Here are my criteria for soccer trading. It is the foundation for my LTD - on a high note, that I 'trialled' on FTS.
It has absolutely nothing to do with Forex, and can be ignored if you are not interested in soccer trading.

I forgot to mention: If the favourites last game
was against the top 3, and a draw, criteria 2
can be ignored for this game.

Sometimes...

... my brain isn't functioning as it should.

I reported a loss the other day. What I did miss was the 'counter-signal', giving me a trade in the other direction. That trade would easily have been a winner with more than what I lost.

Sense moral(?): Don't trade and watch TV.

Martin Luther King

What does he have to do with trading?

Probably nothing, but it is Martin Luther King day in the US, and so, the S&P500 that I trade is closed today.
Darn holidays...

Back tomorrow, I hope.

Trending Friday

It seems like the market I trade trends about 50% of the time.
Now, this is normally not a bad thing. I just wish I could predict the trend - when it starts, and when it is about to end.
Well, the brilliant Nick is working on this, and we'll see what he comes up with.

Have a nice weekend!
